Omaha .NET User Group July Meeting
Fellow .NET Users,
Our last meeting was a lot of fun since we were able to actually see some of your real faces for the first time in a while. This month, we'll again be meeting at FCSA and will again be live-streaming on both YouTube and Teams. We think we've corrected the problems that we had last time and are hopeful that many of you will be able to join us virtually or in-person.
The next .NET UG meeting will take place on Thursday, July 29th, starting at 6:00 PM. Our sponsor will be providing food and drinks for all of those in attendance, so please make sure to RSVP if you plan to attend. If you're planning to attend virtually, please do not RSVP as we only need RSVPs so we can order the right amount of food.

Solo Engineer: How to ship cloud software products as a one-man-band developer by Abraham Chavez
Abraham has been designing, developing, and shipping cloud software products as a one-man-band developer for over two years. Over this time there have been several lessons learned, strategies evaluated, tips employed, and principles acquired. In this talk, Abraham will share some of these practices with you. He'll touch on several layers, disciplines, and stacks necessary to produce or evolve a commercial SaaS product, and how to tackle them on your own as a solo engineer. This journey will take us across areas like Systems Design Philosophy, UX, UI, Software Architectures, and Development Lifecycles.
Speakers:Abraham Chavez
Abraham Chavez is the CTO of ThreadWorks, a company focused on developing cloud-based solutions that help digitize the collection and distribution of paperwork for professional services firms. He is on a mission to empower people through software and systems thinking. He has a knack for whittling down complex problems to their core essence, and a preference for data-driven decision making, business experimentation, and agile shipping of Minimum Viable Products. His mantra is “make it work first, then make it work better” and “build just enough.” Abraham has a unique 15 years of experience in technology and entrepreneurship, working in projects spanning industry verticals like government, finance, insurance, logistics, e-commerce, and software-as-a-service products. He has had to wear many hats as a developer, designer, UX practitioner, speaker, copywriter, marketing consultant, and strategist in a wide range of businesses from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Abraham revels in unique learning experiences like learning a foreign language before going to a foreign country to participate in technology events. (edited)
