Fellow .NET Users,

Welcome to the March version of our meeting invite! Before we get into that, though, I wanted to remind you about our Slack workspace. I know a lot of you have been participating in our Slack channel discussions. We've been talking about things ranging from IoC frameworks to how to program functionally in C#. We have even started a weekly series called Functional Friday, where Joel Becker helps us think more functionally while writing our code. However, I know there are a lot of you who either haven't joined or haven't participated. We need you! Brian and I want this to be a place for the Omaha .NET community to collaborate. If you're not already a member, you can join via the invitation link: http://bit.ly/2DwVVvG. When you join, make sure to at least send me a direct message to say hi, or better yet, start a discussion, tell us what you've been building or fill us in on cool technology you've been working with!

The next installment of the Omaha .NET User's Group will take place on Thursday, March 29th, starting at 6:00 PM. Food and drink will be served by our sponsor starting 15-20 minutes before the meeting takes place.

After the meeting, we will be gathering at The Fox and Hound for drinks and appetizers provider by our friends at Harbinger Partners!

Building Microservices on Azure
Microservices has been a buzzword since last few years. In this session, we would explore what are microservices, how are they different from traditional monolithic services, how to get started with microservices and how to build & run a microservice on Azure.
