Our next SharePoint User Group meeting will be on Thursday, December 3, 2015, starting at 11:30 AM at the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE). Food will be provided 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. Please RSVP so we have an accurate food order.

Topic: Tracking & Reporting Investments Using SharePoint Metadata

This session will show a practical and effective way to use SharePoint document library metadata in a financial setting. The presentation focuses on how the Financial Services Division at Lincoln Electric System uses various functionalities to track investments and report current holdings and performance among other things. Topics to be discussed include: library and metadata structure, Nintex workflows, library views, and reporting and analyzing capabilities in Excel and Access. Lastly, a brief overview will be provided on how Financial Services has structured its division and department sites in our SharePoint 2013 environment.

**Presenter: Preston Afrank **

Preston Afrank has worked in the Financial Services division at Lincoln Electric System for about three years, handlings projects ranging from the corporate operating and capital budget to the enterprise risk management program. Prior to joining LES, he spent five years in community banking. Preston is a self-taught SharePoint user, learning primarily by trial and error when he started at LES. He currently serves as the SharePoint Site Manager for the Financial Services division.
