Session Abstract:SQL Server 2014 is the latest upcoming release from Microsoft. Designed and developed with our cloud-first principles in mind, SQL Server 2014 builds on the momentum of SQL Server 2012. One of the key features of SQL Server 2014 is Mission Critical Performance across all database workloads with In-Memory for online transaction processing (OLTP), data warehousing and business intelligence built-in as well as greater scale and availability. This session will focus on the new In-Memory OLTP capabilities a.k.a Project Hekaton. In-Memory OLTP features provide magnitudes performance and scalability improvements. I will present and demo these In-Memory OLTP capabilities.
Speaker BIO:Sudhir Gajre is a Principal Technologist with Microsoft. He has been with Microsoft for over 13 years, specializing in Relational Database Technologies, BI, and Data Warehousing. He has been in the Data Management and Analysis field for over 20 years. His experience is predominantly in architecting, designing, and tuning VLDB databases and mission critical applications. Performance, Scalability and High Availability, Cloud and Big Data are his core areas of expertise. He has worked on many ERP implementations and migrations, and has authored scalability and performance tuning white papers. He is a frequent speaker at User Groups and SQL Server Conferences.
