SharePoint Practical Applications ShowcaseAccounts PayableImaging: This was one of the initial applications created with our SharePoint environment. SharePoint is used to store scanned invoice-related images which are linked to and available from our SAP system. The invoice documents are scanned using Kofax Capture and stored as PDFs in SharePoint with the metadata. Users can view the images either from SharePoint pages or within SAP as a linked object.Contract Management System: SharePoint is used to manage our contracts from the point they are active through deletion after retention has been met. Contracts are easily available in an electronic form from a central location with basic search or filtering capabilities. Notices and reminders are available to assist with tracking and managing the contracts through their life span.TellVision:SharePoint is used to drive our digital signage displays (electronic bulletin boards) throughout the company. This application uses a custom page with sections for headlines, general news, spot light info, and special notices. Content is maintained in SharePoint lists and presented in a rotating manner onthe page.Presenter:
