Fellow .NET Users,

It's time to get back to our regular cadence of monthly meetings! I hope you'll be able to join us as we get 2026 kicked off! If you're excited about how AI can be used in your development workflow, I think you'll enjoy this meeting!

This month's .NET User's Group Meeting will take place on January 29th, starting at 6:00 PM. Food and drinks will be served by our sponsor starting 15-20 minutes before the start of the meeting. After the presentation, Lean Techniques will be giving away 2 $25 Amazon gift cards. Please join us for some time to learn and chat with like minded software developers.

Host:
Kiewit Business Center (LV1)

12312 Port Grace Blvd, La Vista, NE 68128

You can park anywhere near the building and enter at the main door. You will be greeted by the front desk security. Let them know you are attending a .NET User's Group event and they will notify someone to escort you to the room. If there is any confusion, ask the security to notify Matt Ruwe that a guest has arrived. If you need additional assistance, you can call Matt Ruwe at 402-578-2539

Topic:
AI on Your Machine: .NET, AI Foundry Local, and Zero Cloud Guilt by Alec Harrison

What if you could build modern AI features without sending every prompt to the cloud—or paying per token? This session dives into AI Foundry Local and shows how .NET developers can run models locally, integrate them into real applications, and keep both data and budgets under control. Perfect for developers who want AI power without cloud dependency.

Speakers:
Alec Harrison

Alec Harrison is a Microsoft MVP in AI and the host of Engineer in the Loop. He focuses on practical, real-world applications of artificial intelligence, bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and engineering reality. Alec speaks on building responsible, effective AI systems, with an emphasis on human-in-the-loop design and production-ready solutions.
