Omaha .NET User Group September Meeting
Fellow .NET Users,
What a great response we've received from the people in our community. I asked for volunteers to speak and was able to quickly find a number of people who are willing to speak at a lightning round session. Because it's pretty late notice, we've decided to move our meeting back a week to October 6th. For the first time in a while, we'll have a few remote speakers, but we're planning to meet in-person.
Also, we're going to start getting ready to do our annual sponsorship drive. We always sell out our 11 meeting slots very quickly and I would love to open up additional slots, but before I can do that, I want to have presenters assigned to all of our regular monthly meetings. If you're interested in speaking in 2023, please reach out. Even if you're just thinking it might be something you're considering, let me know. Brian and I are happy to help you and even supplement your content with our own. It's great to have MVPs and consultants fill the ranks of our speakers, but I'd really like to see some people who are just getting stuff done speak at our meetings.
Our next meeting will take place on Thursday, October 6th, starting at 6:00 PM. Our sponsor for this meeting, Mastery, will be giving away a drone and a couple of $50 gift cards. We'll plan on broadcasting the meeting online, but you must be present to be eligible to win a prize.

Mastery
For more than 40 years, the logistics industry has grown with patchwork tools built for specific jobs. And complexity continues to soar. Companies often sub-optimize one or more of those functions by attempting to fit it into a transportation management system that is adequate at another function, creating friction between systems or added work. Mastery solves this problem by bringing all operating functions into a single cloud-based TMS, providing flexibility, visibility, control, and efficiency. We can all work faster, smarter, and more efficiently with Mastery.
Mastery’s main product offering, MasterMind, is a comprehensive cloud-based SaaS transportation management system (TMS) built from the ground up by a team of over 500 engineers, designers, and programmers, to help large shippers, carriers and logistics service providers manage complex transportation needs in an efficient, cohesive and intelligent way.
The Omaha metro area has close to 100 Mastery employees from each and every department across the company. We are a .NET shop and the services we are building are part of a much larger microservices ecosystem that is MasterMind.
