Omaha .NET User Group December Meeting
Fellow .NET Users,
This has been a crazy year. Our first two meetings in January and February were normal enough, but everything changed in March and forced our community to be virtual. We've persevered and continued with our planned schedule throughout the year. We started by broadcasting the meetings on YouTube, which, in my opinion, leads to a nice production. However, collaboration wasn't great and I feel like that is one of the most important aspects of our group. Because of this, we switched to using Teams, which allows us to talk to one another directly. I feel like this is the right area for us to focus on so we'll continue using this as long as is needed.
It's finally time for the last meeting of 2020, and given the current state of the world, we're going to continue to hold our meetings virtually. We want to get back together and feel like it's a critical component of our mission as a user group, but we want to be responsible and safe as well. We'll continue to reassess the situation and rely on our sponsors, hosts, and medical experts to give us direction. As soon as is possible, we're going to start holding our meetings in-person.
Okay, the last meeting of 2020 will be held on December 3rd, starting at 6:00 PM. Our sponsor for this meeting, Tigerpaw Software, is planning to give away $200 in gift cards during the meeting so make sure you join us for the live event.

Azure cognitive service APIs by Chad Michel
As developers, we are often challenged to build services that include potentially difficult-to-build features like text analysis or facial recognition. In this .NET User Group meeting, we will look at some of the Azure cognitive service APIs and demonstrate how we can use them to create some pretty cool solutions - all without having to be a math expert.
Speakers:Chad Michel
Sr. Software Architect in Lincoln Nebraska specializing in system design, project design, and cloud technologies.
