Fellow .NET Users,
I know that a lot of you were unable to join us last month, so I wanted to make sure that you knew about something pretty cool that happened. May is the UG's birthday month so we asked Philip Wolfe, who is one of the .NET UG founders, to drop by and tell us some of the history of the group. If you were unable to join us, I highly recommend you check out the recorded video. You can find it here:
If you don't know Philip, you should take advantage of any opportunity to talk to him. He's pretty awesome.
Now, onto our June meeting details. The next .NET user's group meeting will take place on Thursday, June 28th starting at 6:00 PM. Food and drink will be served by our sponsors (TEKSystems) starting 15-20 minute before the meeting. We will again be meeting after the presentation for drinks provided by our friends at Harbinger Partners. This time we'll be at Stokes 13615 California St.

Automated Unit Testing in .NET
Michael Feathers famously defined "legacy code" as code that does not have automated unit tests. Even as there has been a push in the development community over the years for more automated testing in software, it remains a low priority or completely absent in many code bases. In this session, we will learn what automated unit testing is and why it is important, cover fundamental concepts and techniques, introduce and demonstrate popular testing frameworks, and see some automated tests in real code.
