Topic:

Introduction to the MVVM UI Pattern

Whether you're writing a Silverlight or WPF application, if the UI is written in XAML, you need to be looking at the MVVM (Model-View-View Model) pattern.  Taking advantage of XAML's rich data-binding capabilities, MVVM allows for a clean separation between the UI and the application logic.  In this talk, I'll cover the basic hows and whys of this pattern in the context of building a simple application from scratch.

** About the Presenter**

Adam Barney is a lead developer at a Nebraska-based .NET shop, and co-leader of the Lincoln .NET Users Group.  He has been writing code for the better part of his life, starting on a Commodore 64 he bought in the fourth grade.  His focus over the last 10 years has been nearly 100% .NET, writing all sorts of apps across the entire .NET stack.
