Fellow .NET Users,

I was recently looking back through the speakers who have presented at our group and I was humbled at the caliber of some of these folks. It’s been amazing to have the opportunity to work with people from around the country like Steve Bohlen, Jeff Brand, Dan Wahlin, Bill Wagner, Richard Campbell, Carl Franklin, and others.

However, the real heroes of our user group are the people who quietly do their jobs and occasionally step up to give a presentation to the user group. There are so many of them. I wish I could put each one of their names here and tell the story of their presentation, but I think it might end up being a small book! It would be a good book, though! There would be anecdotes about how they didn’t know what to present or didn’t think what they had to say would be interesting to people. The results of their presentation would prove otherwise! Some of you are extremely passionate about what you do, and that passion is contagious! By presenting at our group, these people have elevated their message to another level! I’m privileged to know these people and call all of them my friends.

The reason I was looking at the list of historical speakers for our group, is that my backlog of speakers is coming to an end soon. I think we’ll do a lightning round session before the end of the year, but after that, I don’t have any speakers. If you’ve ever thought about giving a presentation, I would love to talk to you. If you have questions, reach out and I’ll be glad to answer any questions you might have. Thanks in advance!

Now, onto the August meeting announcement. The next .NET UG meeting will take place on Thursday, August 29th, starting at 6:00 PM. Food and drink will be served by our sponsor starting 15-20 minutes before the start of the meeting.

After the meeting join us at DJ's Dugout for more drinks, appetizers and engaging conversation hosted by our friends at Dynamo!
