Fellow .Net Users,

There's a lot happening in the development space today, and as a .Net web developer, it's not enough to just know how to program in C#. We need to understand the wide breadth of web client programming frameworks and how to build proper APIs. This month's meeting is focused on one such framework!

Our next .Net UG meeting will take place on Thursday, October 26th, starting at 6:00 PM. Food and drink will be served by our sponsor 10-15 minutes before the start of the meeting.

Location:
Buildertrend

PLEASE NOTE:
This is a new address for Buildertrend. If you have been to a meeting at their office in the past, this is NOT the same location.

Topic:
Angular Universal & .NET
Angular Universal is a platform and set of tools that empowers developers to pre-render or server-side render their Angular applications. In this presentation we'll cover when using Angular Universal makes sense, the different implementation patterns, and the architecture for basic sample application using the tools and templates for a .NET environment.

Speaker:
Collin Forrester
Collin has been writing code on various platforms for nearly a decade. Over the last few years it’s primarily JavaScript and most recently, TypeScript. He is a Sr. Application Developer at Buildertrend. When he’s not working, Collin enjoys watching football (ISU and the Denver Broncos), reading, and playing volleyball.

Sponsor:
Buildertrend was founded in 2006 as a result of a simple observation: Residential construction companies needed a user-friendly, web-based software. Software to help them build more projects, build them faster, reduce costly communication errors, and ultimately maximize customer satisfaction. While the system has expanded and become the most widely used and comprehensive cloud system in residential construction, our core principles about customer service have not changed. At the end of the day, we are a customer service company, we just happen to have the best residential construction software in the world.

Buildertrend has grown its team to over 250 employees. Our 110,000 sq-ft. headquarters, located on our 14 acre campus in Omaha, Nebraska was designed with employee satisfaction as the #1 priority. We're proud to have built a team environment where hard work is rewarded. We've also proven that work can and should be fun. After all, you spend as many "awake hours" at work as at home! Our state of the art facilities include two fitness rooms, as well as employee break areas equipped with ping pong tables, video game nooks, pool tables, putting greens, and soda fountains to name a few. Every Friday afternoon the entire team is treated to free lunch from great Omaha restaurants, where we get a chance to build relationships far deeper than just "co-workers".

Thanks and we look forward to seeing you at the meeting.
